Was it totally lame like is it one of those things that's only cute if you do it because I totally understand like wow how out of character for me I mean like I am definitely not the kind of person who signs off with little kisses like that totally tracks for you because you're all cute and bubblegum pink and a princess or something but I'm more like someone who signs off with "cool dude!" or fingerguns or something more along those lines actually while I'm on the subject do you think it's weird if you sign off exclusively with 'o's like for hugs so it's like less intense than a kiss but also still testing the waters with the know xoxo thing which is pretty you know affectionate which is also not to say I don't feel affectionate towards you I mean I think that would be pretty hard since you're so nice and sparkly and all that but I don't want you to think I'm trying to force my kisses on you you know like you said it's important if the other person actually wants them or
[ The wall of text hits her at once and it takes a moment or two before Hilda can formulate a response because she worries that she's broken Robin. If they were in person or eve in the Horizon, she'd grab her hand or squish her cheeks or something to bring her back down to Abraxas. ]
( maybe she doesn't know. but even saying yes i want to kiss you, hilda makes robin feel skittish, like a cat prone to disappearing at a sound breaking the silence. so, she can't say it. just, 100% off the table in every way shape and form, because robin is not a studdly romancey type, she isn't suave or especially charming, or at all smooth with her affections.
what she can do, is reassure hilda. it is definitely, definitely not her fault that robin is the way she is. )
[ Ah, girls. Hilda knows. Or at least she thinks she does. They pose a different kind of problem than boys do. Except the problem that Hilda has with girls is probably a little different than what Robin is referring to. The worry that she had overstepped lingers, so the reassurance from Robin is welcome. That in itself summons a sprout of guilt in Hilda; Robin shouldn't have to feel the need to reassure her at all. ]
